After my lesson, Jones and I headed out on a bike for Ohama Pool — a FREE pool that’s open only one-and-a-half months of the three-month summer. (Parking, however, is not free, which is why we took a 15-minute bike ride instead.) We’re trying to get the most out of it, today was Jones’s introduction to the place. He enjoyed the sinks in the bathroom more than the huge, fun kiddie pool. Typical.
We picked up a couple “onigiri” on the way home: a rice ball with some fish in the middle (tuna, salmon, etc), wrapped in seaweed. Jones LOOOVES onigiri, he starts squealing when he sees me unwrapping it. He’s currently napping and I’m settling in for an hour or two of reading, hanging laundry without a whining toddler, and menu-planning. Maybe we’ll go look for a pool floaty later on, while we get groceries… and buy me a coffee. (They have vending machines everywhere, with hot and cold canned coffee, with or without cream and sugar — they’re not bad! About $1 each.)
What’s your Monday like?
